We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Michelin Pilot Sport 3 ZP
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Summer weather traction
- Enhanced controllability
- High speed performance
- Run flat tire model
OVERVIEW
The Michelin Pilot Sport 3 ZP is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire boosts the summer weather traction. The summer compound and the asymmetric tread design greatly upgrade the dry and wet weather grip on the road surface. The durable compound elements allow the tire to improve the heat-resistance during the summer weather performance. The tread's close road contact allows the tire to optimize the surface traction. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water from the footprint in wet weather conditions. This guarantees the tire's exceptional summer weather performance.
The asymmetric pattern's center ribs maintain the surface contact, boosting the controllability. As a result, the tire also increases the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The tire promotes a quick and precise steering response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure. The shoulder block placement increases the cornering ability with the use of extra biting edges, optimizing the maneuvering capability. The durable heat-resistant compound and the constant surface contact enhances the braking ability, significantly shortening the braking distance. These elements promote great performing ability, enhancing the driver's better control over the vehicle at all times.
The tire also ensures excellent high speed durability. The stronger construction and the heat-resistant compound elements greatly improve the high speed performance. The structure keeps the ideal tire shape under the high speed pressure, while the compound effectively prevents heat build-up along the tread area. This combination enables the tire's high speed capacity, allowing the tire's overall high speed performing safety.
The Pilot Sport 3 ZP is manufactured with the Zero Pressure Technology. This is Michelin's run flat technology, which enables the tire's limited, temporary performance. In this manner, when air pressure leaves the tire, it can be driven on for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph. This ensures that the vehicle is not stranded on the side of the road. Instead, it can be driven to a nearby location where the damaged tire can be fixed or changed. Run flat tires should not be mounted on the same vehicle with regular tires, as their internal structure is heavier.
This specific tire is marked with MO as it is the original equipment of Mercedes vehicles.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
