Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2
Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- High driving comfort levels
- Winter weather traction
- Enhanced controllability
OVERVIEW
The Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2 is a performance, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The tire improves the overall comfort levels while the tires are in motion. The directional tread design ensures the surface contact at all times, allowing the tire to closely follow the road surface contact. The close road contact absorbs the shock of driving, decreasing the road vibrations felt by the passengers. As a result, road vibrations do not reach the vehicle's cabin and ruin the passengers' driving enjoyment. This promotes a comfortable driving experience.
Winter weather traction is guaranteed. The directional tread design with high-density siping pattern and the winter compound increase the winter grip. The tread elements firmly grip the road surface with extra biting edges, greatly optimizing the ice and snow traction. The footprint and the better ice and snow grip ensure the tire's performance without the use of studs. The stronger compound keeps the rubber flexibility in freezing temperatures, boosting the overall performing ability as well. The ideal groove pattern avoids hydroplaning as they disperse water and slush from the footprint, significantly enhancing the wet weather traction.
The Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2 improves the controllability as well. The ribbed block placement ensures the surface contact while the tires are in motion. This boosts the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In other words, it guarantees a faster and more precise steering response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure. The directional pattern and siping pattern generate friction at the moment of braking, significantly shortening the winter weather braking distance. This results in better handling and maneuvering.
