OVERVIEW
The Kumho KRS12 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This tire is designed to be mounted on the vehicle's steer axle positions.
Thanks to the tread’s road contact, superb controllability is provided with this model. The symmetric tread pattern manages to closely follow the road, increasing the tire’s steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering response time is quicker and more accurate to the driver’s commands, while the structure is protected against driving pressure. Excellent cornering and maneuvering are improved as well. As a result, the driver has full control over the vehicle.
This tire also provides exceptional all season performance. The tread design and the all season compound boost the tire's dry, wet, and winter-weather grip. The tread’s siping placement firmly grips the road surface with extra biting edges, while the compound keeps the rubber flexible in versatile temperatures. The groove pattern helps to prevent hydroplaning, by eliminating water and slush from under the footprint. As a result, the tire ensures a safe year-round driving experience.
This tire also delivers a longer-lasting tread life. Durable rubber materials and stable tread elements greatly improve the tire’s wear manner and rate. Stronger rubber helps decrease the treadwear rate by preventing premature wear across the footprint. In addition, the tread’s even pressure circulation avoids its accumulation, resisting irregular wear formations. The even and slow wear significantly boosts the tire’s usability and longevity.
The Kumho KRS12 offers great load and driving durability. The reinforced internal structure maintains the ideal tire shape under load and driving pressure. The tire does not deform under pressure, enabling it to enhance its load-carrying and withstanding ability. As a result, the tire is able to upgrade its load capacity and handling power.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
