The asymmetric tread design and the silica-based tire compound work together to increase the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The silica keeps the tire's flexibility, while the tread elements improve the tire's grip on the road surface. The tread's four circumferential groove design prevents hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. This combination improves the summer weather driving safety significantly.

The tread pattern's three center ribs and the construction's wide steel belts and high stiffness bead filler enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The stronger rayon carcass line and the jointless reinforcement belts of the internal structure maintain the tire's ideal shape under the high speed driving pressure affecting the model. This allows the tire to upgrade the high speed performing capability. The tread's special groove chamfers upgrade the braking capability. They create friction between the tire and the road surface to decrease the braking distance and ensure a secure performance.

This is a run flat model. It utilizes its robust structure to ensure the tire’s limited, temporary performance after air pressure loss. Once air pressure leaves the tire, it can still be driven on for 50 miles up to 50 mph. This prevents the tire from being stranded on the side of the road due to damage. Instead, the tire can be driven to a nearby location, where the damaged tire can be changed or fixed. Run flat tires should never be mounted on the same vehicle mixed with regular tires, as their internal structure makes them heavier.

The alignment indicators visually represent the tread wear rate and manner of the tires. If the two parallel indicators wear in an identical manner, the tires wear is even. However, if there is a difference between them, the tire's wear is uneven. In such cases the vehicle's alignment should be checked before the tire develops an irregular tread wear rate.
