The Goodyear Ultra Grip SUV is a performance, winter tire manufactured for SUVs. This model has touring sizes available as well.
The tire offers great winter weather traction. The model combines its silica-enhanced tire compound and its directional tread design to increase the cold-temperature road gripping ability. The directional tread's high-density siping detail firmly grips the ice- and snow-covered road surfaces, even without the use of metal studs. The silica-infused tire compound maintains its rubber flexibility throughout the winter months and it ensures first-rate traction. The directional pattern's groove placement improves the hydroplaning resistance. They disperse water and slush from below the tire's footprint and boost wet weather safety. The tire, as a result, received its three mountain peak and snowflake symbol, which indicates its exceptional winter weather performance.
The tread design with the high-density siping detail enhances the tire's winter weather controllability. The directional tread's optimal shoulder tread block placement and the continuous center rib closely follows road surface. The maintained constant road contact improves steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering becomes faster and more precise in its responsiveness to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The siping detail manages to increase the number of biting edges, which creates friction at the moment of braking. This friction effectively shortens the braking distance, guaranteeing a safer winter weather driving experience.
The Ultra Grip SUV was manufactured with a stronger internal structure. The construction features twin steel belts reinforced with a spirally wrapped nylon strand. This avoids the deformation of the optimal tire shape under the driving pressure affecting the model. If an order is placed before 1 pm EST on a business day we ship the order the same day.
If it is placed after 1 pm EST or over the weekend, we will ship the order out the following business day. Depending where you are located in the 48 contiguous states, our shipping courier will take approximately 1-6 business days to deliver the tires to you from any of our four main warehouses located in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Florida and/or our smaller warehouses which are located across the country.
Due to the nature of shipping, packages may be separated at the shipping courier's facility and not delivered on the same day, even though shipped together. You'll receive a master tracking number via email to check on the courier's website for updates. For instance, you may receive 3 tires on one day and the 4th on the following day, or one tire one day and another the day after. We understand this may be inconvenient at times but it's beyond our control.
