OVERVIEW
The Firestone Winterforce UV is a winter tire manufactured for SUV and light truck vehicles, as UV stands for Utility Vehicle. They can be mixed with Firestone's previous Winterforce model.
This tire has excellent winter weather traction and it grips the road well in dry, wet and winter conditions. The tire is branded with the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol and with the M+S rating. The first means that the tire is capable of handling the most severe winter weather easily, while the second means that the tire will also perform well in dry weather as its tire compound will provide traction even then.
The tire's tread pattern has 3D high density sipes in it, which provide additional biting edges to increase its ice and snow grip, while also enabling the model to have traction on loose snow. The tire's tread pattern also helps it resist hydroplaning by channeling water and slush from beneath he footprint.
The directional tread pattern improves the dry and wet weather performance of the tire. The directional tread boosts the tire's driving stability, allowing higher speed driving in light weather conditions. The tire maintains good road contact, which increases the precision and responsiveness. The model is swift and accurate in its response to the driver's commands, making the handling of the tire effortless.
The tire's twin steel belt reinforced internal structure also extends the tire's life and provides a better ride quality. This reinforcement of the Winterforce UV prevents punctures or other mechanical damage on the tire. It also does not deform under the driving pressure, and as it maintains its shape throughout the drive, the model is safer to use in the previously mentioned weather. The internal structure also helps provide a more comfortable driving experience, since the consistent shape reduces the road vibrations felt by the passengers.
