The Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval AS is an all season high performance tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. Firestone offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with the H and V speed rated sizes of this tire model.
This model has exceptional all weather traction, thanks to the silica-based compound, even in lower winter temperatures. The sweeping grooves in the tread pattern channel water from below the footprint and effectively resists hydroplaning. The superb road grip allows for more versatile, year-round use of the tire.
The full depth tread allows the tire to keep its excellent traction throughout the tire's life. As the tread wears out it does not lose its excellent traction, as the sipes in the tread pattern are present for the tire's entire life and they do not wear out. Also due to the special tread design, the handing of the tire is made easier. The wide shoulder ribs provide additional control over the tire and additional biting edges during cornering. The cornering ability and power are enhanced in this way and the tire's steering responsiveness is sharpened.
