OVERVIEW
The Firestone Firehawk GTZ Pursuit is a high performance, all season tire manufactured for performance vehicles.
The tire promotes exceptional all weather traction and road gripping ability thanks to the silica-based tire compound and the asymmetric tread pattern's open slotted shoulders. They work together to provide excellent dry, wet and winter weather traction. The circumferential and lateral grooves actively disperse water and slush from below the tire footprint which further boosts the year round driving safety and the model's hydroplaning resistance.
The silica compound, along with the wider tread profile, also offers excellent controllability in all weather. They boost the steering responsiveness and the driving stability by maintaining road contact and increasing the road contact area. The better road grip and larger contact patch ensure a stable and easily controlled tire as it is fortified against the driving pressure affecting it and is quick and precise in its response to the driver's instructions. The better steering and stability allow the driver to confidently control the tire in all conditions.
The special tire compound also features L. L. Carbon, or Long Link Carbon, in it. This Carbon strengthens the tire against both the driving pressure and damage. It prevents cracking, chipping and tearing from occuring on the tread area, enhancing its damage resistance. It also creates an interconnecting chain across the entire tread area on a molecular level that evenly distributes the driving pressure across the entire tread area. The prevention of uneven wear extends the tread life and the tire usability, making the tire more cost-efficient.
The model provides excellent high speed performance. It maintains its optimal tire shape and it does not deform under the driving pressure. The tire was manufactured with the Computer Optimized Component System that optimizes different elements of the manufacturing process to ensure exceptional high speed performance. The CO-CS combines the appropriate combination of the tread design, casing shape, materials used and construction methods to enhance the tire for high speed performance.
The Firehawk GTZ Pursuit promotes a quiet and comfortable drive. The tread pattern's variable pitch sequence cancels the road noise generated while the tire is in motion by creating a sound frequency that negates other sounds. The internal structure features the O-Bead, a single continuous cable cord in the bead of the tire, that optimized the tire's contact with the rim. This ensures lower levels of road vibrations as the tire's uniformity is guaranteed. The decreased road noise and vibration levels offer an enjoyable driving experience.
