OVERVIEW
The Dunlop SP10 is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The model ensures a secure year round traction. The asymmetric tread design, with the varying block placement, and the all season compound work together to improve the all weather road gripping ability. The asymmetric pattern firmly grips the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather, while the compound keeps its flexible traction even in colder temperatures. The tread features a detailed siping design that ensures a high number of biting edges to promote ice and snow traction. The circumferential grooves actively resist hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The combination of the excellent all weather traction and enhanced hydroplaning resistance offers a safer driving experience throughout the year.
The tread design closely follows the road surface at all times, which improves the tire's controllability. In other words, it boosts the steering responsiveness, the driving stability and the cornering capability. The steering is faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands and the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it during the drive with the better road contact. The shoulder tread blocks heighten the number of biting edges during cornering, providing a secure and more powerful maneuverability. The high-density siping detail shortens the braking distance by increasing the braking power with the friction they create. In this manner, the tire is easily controlled and promotes an exceptional performance.
The special low rolling resistance tire compound eases the driving pressure off the model. The rolling resistance is the force affecting the tires during the drive that determines the vehicle's energy consumption. The lower rolling resistance manages to decrease the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, making the model more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly. The reduced rolling resistance also manages to slow the tread wear rate down. This, along with the tread design's even pressure distribution, prevents irregular tread wear formations and lengthens the tread life and the tire's usability.
The SP10 guarantees a quiet drive. The tread design features a variable pitch sequence that lowers the road noise levels heard while the tires are in motion. The pitch sequence negates the road noise levels heard in the vehicle's cabin by cancelling the soundwaves out with a special sound frequency that it generates. The result is a quiet, road noise free driving experience.
