The Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D ROF is a run flat winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire offers excellent winter weather traction. It has received the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol that is given to tires capable of handling the harshest winter weather. The 4D siping design of the V-shaped grooves and the deep snow notches and the silica-plus tread compound boost the tire's snow and ice traction. The 4D siping design maintains firm grip on all snow and ice-covered roads. The V-shaped tread grooves and deep snow notches enhance the hydroplaning resistance by dispersing water and slush from below the tire footprint, making the driving safer in all winter conditions.
The tire's 4D siping system improves the braking and acceleration ability and the tire's handling as well. It increases the number of the sipes located on the tire's shoulder which ensures better road grip. This allows a shortened braking ability in colder temperatures and on ice-covered roads.
