OVERVIEW
The Dunlop SP Sport 4000 DSST CTT is a performance and high performance, depending on the speed rating of the specific tire size, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. This model also comes in touring tire sizes as well.
The tire is a run flat model. It was made with the Dunlop Self Supporting Technology, which reinforced the sidewall construction to withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers in case of air pressure loss. In case air pressure leaves the tire due to a puncture or other damage, the tire can still be driven on for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph. In this manner, the driver is not stranded on the side of the road, rather they can safely arrive to a nearby location where they can change or fix the damaged tire. Run flat tires are typically manufactured for vehicles without space for a spare tire. Run flat tires cannot be mounted together with regular tires on the same vehicle as their internal structure is heavier.
