OVERVIEW

The Big O SXP G/T is a touring, all season tire made for passenger vehicles. Big O offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

This model comes with a tread design that can adapt to a wide range of weather conditions and establish a firm grip. The circumferential and cross lateral grooves together with the sipes keep the tire stable and controllable while maintaining traction. While the sipes and cross lateral grooves are there to provide additional biting edges, the circumferential grooves are there to deal with water evacuation.

With the combination of the all season compound and the well-designed tread, the all weather performance of the tire is unquestionable. Stability is the base of handling and this tire sits unshakably on its five-rib tread. Circumferential grooves largely contribute to safe driving and easy control. They channel water and slush away from the tread, securing wet weather traction.

The tread elements and the overall shape of the tire are optimized against irregular wear. The first step towards uniform wear is to design a flat footprint, which is what they did with this five-rib design. The driving pressure is always distributed between the five ribs, resulting in slow, even wear. With the SXP GT, this is not only true for casual driving but for braking, steering and rapid acceleration as well.
