The BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A is a rugged terrain, all season tire made for SUVs and light trucks. BFGoodrich offers a 50,000 mile warranty with this tire model.
This model offers a quiet and comfortable driving experience. The computer-optimized tread pattern reduces both the vibrations felt and the road noise heard in the cabin of the vehicle. The vibrations caused by the uneven road surface are absorbed by the tread pattern, lowering the bounciness of the tires. The road noise created when the tires are in motion is reduced by the size variable elements located in the tread pattern, which channel the soundwaves through the tire's footprint and provide a quieter tire.
The tire not only offers a comfortable on-road drive, but it also guarantees a secure off-road grip. The aggressive tread design enables the tire to conquer the most severe terrains with ease. As a result, the tire upgrades the soft, loose and uneven terrain grip, without sacrificing its on-road comfort. This enables the tire's forward motion at all times, preventing it from becoming stuck in deep mud and loose dirt. This results in the tire's exceptional off-road driving safety levels. The better off-road grip enhances the tire's excellent driving safety levels throughout the tire's performance.
The tire has remarkable all weather traction thanks to the tire compound and tread pattern design. The tire also resists dangerous hydroplaning in deeper water by channeling water from below the footprint with the circumferential tread grooves. The driver's control over the Rugged Terrain T/A was increased with the ETEC, or Equal TEnsion Containment, System which allows the tire to perform to its maximum capability. The tire does not deform under the driving pressure, boosting both the safety and performing ability of the model. The ETEC system also maximized the tire's road contact patch for a better steering responsiveness. The enhanced steering response time and accuracy make the tire easier to control and improves its maneuvering ability and power. The driver is able to correctly respond to the different road surfaces and the tire reacts quickly to the commands, making it safer to use.
