American Tourer R/T
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Rugged terrain traction
- Heavy-duty controllability
- All season traction
OVERVIEW
The American Tourer R/T is a rugged terrain, all season tire manufactured for light trucks.
Rugged terrain traction is guaranteed with the aggressive footprint. The staggered block placement, the open shoulder pattern, and the wider groove placement greatly boost the soft, loose, and uneven terrain performance. These tread elements allow the tire to increase the versatile terrain traction, upgrading the on- and off-road terrain grip. This promotes excellent deep mud and loose terrain grip, while keeping the footprint clean at all times. The tread elements disperse mud and snow, and eject rocks stuck between the tread elements. Mud and snow cannot block the surface contact, while stone retention is effectively avoided throughout the performance.
The aggressive footprint also improves its controllability. These tread elements with the center ribbed block placement maintain the surface contact at all times, which allows the tire to greatly improve the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The tire promotes a better steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. On the other hand, the stronger structure boosts the load durability. The strengthened internal structure enables the tire to keep the ideal tire shape under the load and driving pressure. This significantly improves the heavy-duty handling as well.
The R/T boosts the year round performing ability. The all season compound and the detailed block placement upgrade the dry, wet, and winter weather traction. The compound keeps the rubber flexibility throughout the drive, boosting the summer and winter weather performance. The tread elements manage to firmly grip the road with the use of extra biting edges. The groove placement avoids hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from the footprint during the tire's on-road performance.
