OVERVIEW
The Accelera X-Grip is a touring, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model also has some high performance sizes as well.
The tire promotes exceptional winter weather traction. The winter compound and the detailed directional tread design allow the tire to greatly enhance the winter weather, ice and snow grip. These tread elements ensure the tire's surface contact and firmly grip the road surface at all times. The high-density siping placement provides additional biting edges while the tires are in motion. The stronger winter compound elements optimize the rubber flexibility even in freezing temperatures. The tread area is studded which greatly upgrades the tire's overall ice and snow traction. The footprint features wide circumferential and angled lateral grooves by avoiding hydroplaning in wet weather conditions.
The maintained surface contact helps to increase the controllability. These tread elements ensure a close and constant road contact throughout the performance, which improves the steering responsiveness and driving stability. As a result, the tire is able to greatly upgrade the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The shoulder block placement with the siping detail boosts the cornering ability by utilizing additional biting edges throughout the performance. The siping placement and the durable winter compound work together to generate friction at the moment of braking, significantly shortening the braking distance.
The X-Grip offers a fuel efficient performance. The winter compound and the better winter traction allows the tire to ease the pressure off the tire during the drive. In this manner, the tire lowers the rolling resistance, which is the pressure which determines the vehicle's fuel intake needed to keep the tires in motion. Lowering the rolling resistance enables the tire to decrease the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels. This results in a fuel conscious and environmentally friendly driving experience.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
