If you are looking to purchase new tires for your tractor, you have come to the right place!

We at Priority Tire offer a long line of different application tractor tires for sale, at the best prices available on the tire market!

There are three types of tractor tires available on the tire market. The three categories are:

  • Agricultural Tractor Tires (R1)
  • Turf Tractor Tires (R3)
  • Industrial Tractor Tires (R4)

The different tread styles are marked with the R1, R3 and R4, each indicating a specific tractor tire application, to make the tire selection easier.

Tractor tire types

Agricultural Tractor Tires (R1)

If you use your tractor primarily for field work, consider investing in a set of agricultural tractor tires. These tires offer the highest amount of traction among all tractor tires to ensure their forward motion on muddy terrain surfaces. Soil and field traction are not a problem for the directional lug placement of the tread, which propels the tire forward on various field conditions.

The special tread design enables the tire to conquer all field conditions with ease as they offer the most torque. The aggressive tread pattern guarantees a better off-road performance, but it damages the field and leaves an imprint on the terrain surface. This makes the tire unsuitable for turf usage, although it significantly increases the soft and loose terrain surface traction.

Turf Tractor Tires (R3)

Such tires are mainly produced to be mounted on golf carts and lawn mowers. Their tread is designed to let the tire perform effectively without harming the turf surface. The lug placement of the optimal tread design guarantees traction on the grass field without allowing it to leave an imprint on the surface, so it doesn’t damage the grass during the drive.

Turf tractor tires are the least aggressive of all tractor tires and they offer the lowest traction. They ensure a suitable dry traction, but their performing capability is lessened in wet weather. Once the turf or road surface becomes slippery, the tire loses its traction and gripping capability. As a result, these tires are only recommended to be used in dry weather.

Industrial Tractor Tires (R4)

Industrial tractors tires are made to be used on construction sites, especially on forklifts. They are manufactured from a rougher rubber material that resists premature wear during the tire’s performance on concrete, asphalt and gravel roads. These tires offer good traction in dry conditions. The semi-aggressive tread design with its optimal lug placement improves the grip during the tire’s industrial application.

The stronger compound and structure, which enables the longer tread life and the excellent traction, also upgrades the load durability. The wider tire footprint’s even pressure distribution and the maintained ideal tire shape work together to upgrade the load durability. The reinforced tire shape and strengthened construction enable the tire to carry and withstand heavy loads with ease, boosting its heavy-duty performance.
