Repurpose Tires as Easter Decoration (Tire Decor 101)

Agota Szabo - April 14, 2022

Going through the tire recycling process can be tedious. So, instead, freshen up your yard this Easter by reusing your old tires. It’s an easy and egg-celent way to hype Easter up!

There’s a multitude of versatile and interesting Easter Decorations you can create with old, used tires and some craft supplies. If you have the time and patience, and some extra supplies, why not keep reading to see what Easter delights you can make?

Easter Bunny

If you have multiple old tires laying around, you can create some yard decorations. How about making an Easter Bunny out of them?

You can go about it in multiple ways. But no matter how you go about it, you will still need the following supplies: tires (of different sizes perhaps), a wooden plate, glue, screws, paint (white or gray, and pink), and some craft supplies.

The tires will need to be painted to the desired color. The wooden plate will serve as the rabbit’s face, which can be painted on or craft supplies can be used to fashion the features. Build your Tire Easter Bunny by stacking the tires and securing them in the desired manner.

Tire Easter Bunnies are a great decoration for grassy yards, especially when you also create a nest.

Tire Easter Bunny Nest

If the Easter Bunny brings chocolate gifts and eggs, it will need a nest where it can hide them. This nest will need to be as big as your family is. So, what’s the solution if you have a bigger family?

Repurpose an old tire into an Easter Bunny Nest!

The best part is that you only need a tire and some straw or grass to make it!

You can cut off one sidewall of the old tire, but it is not necessary. The important thing is to clean the tire and lay it onto its side where you wish to have the nest. Fill the tire with straw and/or grass, and place the eggs or gifts into the nest.

Easter Wreath

A passenger car tire might be the best choice to create a wreath if you wish to hang it on your front door. However, a wheelbarrow or any other smaller tire will work perfectly.

Get a cute bunny plush or some colorful Easter eggs and a bundle of fake flowers. If you wish, you can paint the tire as well. Arrange the flowers, eggs, and bunny and glue them in place (a hot glue gun should work well). Drill two holes into the upper side of the tire and run a sturdy rope through them – which will be used to hang up the decoration.

Be sure to have fun when arranging your new Easter Wreath!

Tire Planter with Eggs and Bunnies

Creating multi-purpose planters from old tires is another great Easter Decoration.

Clean the tires, paint them, and cut them to shape if necessary. You can make a stacked or hanging tire planter easily with just a few steps. The best part is that planters aren’t just Easter decorations.

Plant your favorite flowers into these tires and spice their look up by adding a few Easter eggs. Simply remove the eggs once Easter has passed and enjoy the new look these tire planters will give to your garden.
