OVERVIEW
The Kenda Loadstar K399 is a touring all season tire manufactured for trailers.
While trailer tires do not need to have as good of a traction as the vehicle's towing them, this tire offers an excellent all weather road grip. The all season tire compound and tread pattern work together to boost the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The specially placed circumferential and wavy lateral grooves prevent hydroplaning as they channel water and slush away from the tire's footprint. The enhanced traction and superb hydroplaning resistance boost the year round driving safety.
The special tire compound ensures a long lasting usability. The compound slows the tread wear rate down significantly by resisting tread wear. The lower tread wear rate decreases the model's rolling resistance as well. In this manner, the tire is not only usable for a longer period of time, but it also manages to reduce the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of the towing vehicle during the drive. The lower rolling resistance takes the pressure off the towing vehicle and improves the trailer's controllability.
The flatter tire profile promotes better stability. In order for the towing vehicle to be able to safely tow the trailer, the trailer must remain stable. The tire profile improves the tire's stability during the drive as it maintains constant road contact. The model is also very responsive to the towing vehicle.
