Hi-Run H180
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- All season performance
- Improved controllability
- Enhanced load durability
- Longer-lasting tread life
OVERVIEW
The Hi-Run H180 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for trailers. This tire is NOT MEANT TO BE MOUNTED ON LIGHT TRUCKS, as its construction will not support the weight and performing style of such vehicles. It can ONLY BE MOUNTED ON TRAILERS.
Excellent year-round performance is promoted with this tire. The ribbed tread design closely follows the road surface at all times, while the all season compound keeps the rubber flexible in warm and cold temperatures. These elements enhance the tire’s dry, wet, and winter-weather traction. At the same time, circumferential grooves effectively eliminate water and slush from the footprint in wet conditions. This combination guarantees a safe driving experience throughout the year.
The model offers great controllability. The ribbed tread pattern and the special silica compound work together to maintain close road contact at all times. These elements enhance the tire’s steering responsiveness and towing stability. The tire’s steering response time is faster and more precise to the towing vehicle’s instructions, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. The outer ribs also boost the tire’s cornering and maneuvering. This combination ensures the tire’s perfect performance on highway terrains.
The reinforced internal structure and the special silica compound boost the tire’s load and driving pressure. These elements do not allow the tire to deform under the load and driving pressure affecting it. As the tire does not deform under pressure, it can easily carry and withstand heavy loads. This load-carrying capacity and handling power make this tire an excellent choice for trailer applications.
The Hi-Run H180 boosts its service life. The ribbed tread pattern and the special silica compound prevent irregular and premature wear formations. In this manner, the ribbed tread pattern evenly distributes driving pressure along the tread area, while the special silica compound slows the treadwear rate down. This reduced and even wear ensures a longer-lasting tread life.
This is a bias ply or diagonal tire. Due to the tire's internal construction and size, it is possible that the tire will look deformed. Smaller diagonal tires do not have reinforced constructions that can keep the tire from deforming. The bias construction and the small tire's non-reinforced internal structure allow the tire to fold in when it is deflated or not properly inflated. This is not constructional damage or an issue; it is a normal occurrence with such tires. In such cases, the tire needs to be mounted and inflated to the proper PSI or, in some instances, an inner tube needs to be added. The proper PSI and the inner tube are able to maintain the tire's ideal shape, preventing the bias plies from looking deformed. This ensures their performing safety and durability.
The photo is a representation of the tire's possible deformation, it does not represent the specific tire model, size, tread pattern and application.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
