OVERVIEW
The Yokohama 108R is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on either the vehicle's steer or all axle positions.
The tire promotes a longer usability. The symmetric five-ribbed pattern closely follows the road surface and optimizes the pressure distribution. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking actively prevents irregular wear formations across the tread area. The durable compound, on the other hand, slows the tread wear rate down with the wear-resistant rubber materials. This combination enables the tire to improve the length of the tread life by guaranteeing a slower and even wear manner.
The model actively avoids damage. The special shoulder tread design resists the tread's chipping, cracking and tearing with the durable compound and the slightly curved shoulder blocks. The stronger sidewall construction improves the impact damage resistance and enhances the tire's driving safety. The tread design's self-cleaning capability is enhanced with the grooves' rock shield platforms. These platforms prevent stones from drilling into the casing and harming the tire during its performance, actively resisting stone retention in the process. In this manner, the different types of damage cannot shorten the tire's service life.
The 108R improves the durability. The model features a reinforced steel belt internal structure that maintains the ideal tire shape under the load and driving pressure affecting the model. This enables the tire to increase the load carrying and handling ability and power, boosting the load capacity significantly. The maintained ideal shape optimizes the tire's surface contact during the drive. In this manner, the tire improves the steering responsiveness and the driving stability.
