OVERVIEW

The Roadmaster RM170 is a highway terrain all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on all axle positions of the vehicle.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The ribbed tread design and the all season tire compound work together to boost the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The compound keeps its flexible traction even in colder temperatures and it prevents heat build-up during the drive. The ribbed pattern, with the V-shaped siping detail, enhances the road gripping capability throughout the year. The wide circumferential grooves actively disperse water and slush from the footprint to effectively resist hydroplaning when driving through standing water. The improved road gripping ability and hydroplaning resistance increase the year round driving safety.

The model ensures first-rate durability. The special cool-running compound base prevents heat build-up during the drive, while the reinforced structure stabilizes and strengthens the tire's structure against the driving pressure affecting it. As a result, the tire's structure does not deform under the driving and load pressure, which enables the tire to carry and withstand heavy loads with ease. The stronger structure also improves the tire's damage resistance as it prevents damage from harming the tire's casing.

The RM170 offers a longer lasting tread life. The compound's heat build-up resistance avoids premature and uneven tread wear rates. The ribbed tread design closely follows the road surface, which manages to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking prevents irregular tread wear formations and, with it, lengthens the tread life and the tire's usability.
