Nokian Hakkapeliitta C3
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Winter weather traction
- Enhanced controllability
- Upgraded load durability
OVERVIEW
The Nokian Hakkapeliitta C3 is a highway terrain, winter tire manufactured for commercial vehicles.
The tire promotes a safer winter weather performance. The stronger winter compound works together with the detailed tread design in order to upgrade the winter weather, ice and snow traction. The strengthened compound elements optimize the rubber flexibility in freezing winter temperatures, while the tread's siping placement increases the grip on the road surface with extra biting edges. The optimal traction ensures a safer performance, optimizing the winter weather traction. The optimal groove pattern across the tread area avoids hydroplaning, as they disperse water and slush from the footprint in wet weather situations.
The maintained surface contact of the ideal tread design increases the controllability. The better road contact upgrades the steering responsiveness and the driving stability, upgrading the driver's control over the vehicle. The better road contact enhances the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The shoulder blocks with the siping placement improve the cornering ability. They provide additional biting edges in order to firmly grip the road surface, upgrading the cornering and maneuvering capability.
The Hakkapeliitta C3 was manufactured with Nokian's special Aramid sidewall technology. This technology places Aramid fibers into the sidewall structure, which strengthens the construction. It allows the tire to carry and withstand heavier loads, without the tire's deformation under the load and driving pressure. As the tire does not deform, it is capable of handling heavy loads with ease. The special clinch rubber compound further improves the load durability as it reinforces the bead area during the heavy-load performance. In other words, this combination greatly boosts the tire's overall load capacity.
