They ensure excellent all weather traction and find firm road grip in dry, wet and winter weather. The main wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning in wet and winter weather by dispersing water and slush from below the tire footprint. The tread design's center rib sports an Aquaplaning Indicator. It is located on the center rib and has a teardrop shape. When that indication disappears from the tread design, with the tread wear, the tire is not longer safe to use in deeper water. This provides a good insight into the tire's remaining tread life.
