OVERVIEW
The Nokian Entyre is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Nokian offers a 50,000 mile warranty for the V speed rated sizes and a 75,000 mile treadwear warranty for the H and T speed rated sizes of this tire model.
The special asymmetric tread pattern features wide circumferential grooves and lateral grooves. They ensure excellent all weather traction and find firm road grip in dry, wet and winter weather. The main wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning in wet and winter weather by dispersing water and slush from below the tire footprint. The tread design’s center rib sports an Aquaplaning Indicator. It is located on the center rib and has a teardrop shape. When that indication disappears from the tread design, with the tread wear, the tire is not longer safe to use in deeper water. This provides a good insight into the tire’s remaining tread life.
The model promotes a quiet driving experience. The Silent Groove Design places hemispherical indentations, like that on a golf ball, on the walls of the circumferential grooves. They lower the road noise heard in the vehicle’s cabin while the tire is in motion. This is possible as the indentations reduce the road noise with the grooves’ walls and prevents road noise from generating. These indications also decrease air resistance which slows the tread wear rate down by keeping the tread surface cool at all times. The tire’s center rib features the Driving Safety Indicators that numerically show how much tread life is left on the tires, providing a clear view to the driver when the tires need to be changed.
The tread pattern features 3D Lock Siping design. These sipes, located on the tread blocks of the outer shoulder, lock together at their contact with the road. They stabilize the tread elements during road contact and prevent sipe and tread movement. This increases the tire’s optimized road contact which improves the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The stabilized tire and the quick and precise steering responsiveness increase the tire’s performing capability and ensure a safer and more controllable driving experience.
The Entyre offers a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly drive. The better road contact lowers the tire’s rolling resistance, which is a force that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to maintain the tire’s motion. The decreased rolling resistance reduces the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions greatly. The tire was also made from purified natural oils, lessening the tire’s toll on the environment by preventing indirect pollution.
