OVERVIEW
The Goodyear Wrangler HP is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. It has some touring sizes made for passenger vehicles as well.
The tire has great all weather traction thanks to the special symmetric tread pattern. This offers increased winter weather traction, but it grips the road well in dry and wet weather as well. The SmartTRED Weather Reactive Technology used in the manufacture reads the road in all conditions and adapts the tire's behavior to each weather situation. This makes sure the tire does not lose its traction in any conditions. The deep, wide circumferential and lateral grooves evacuate water and slush from below the tire footprint, improving the hydroplaning resistance in all temperatures.
The tire's steering responsiveness and accuracy are the result of the symmetric tread pattern featuring a wide outer shoulder and intermediate blocks, and, with H speed rated models, the internal steel belt structure. They maintain constant contact between the tire and the road and increase its responsiveness to the driver's instructions. The tire is quick and precise in its reaction, allowing the driver to correctly and confidently control the tire in all weather.
The model has slight off-road capabilities as well. While the tire is not an all terrain model, the wide grooves provide traction on dirt and gravel paths. The tire is more versatile in this manner, as it combines exceptional on-road performance with durable off-road ability. The wide grooves clean out mud and snow stuck between the tread elements, maintaining constant road contact and offering enhanced safety.
The tread pattern features an advanced variable pitch and tread block sequence. The variable pitch reduces the road and pattern noise by creating sound frequencies that cancel out the noise generated while the tire is in motion. This lowers the road noise levels heard in the cabin of the vehicle, making the driving experience quiet, comfortable and more enjoyable.
The Wrangler HP's sidewall design offers protection to the rims, as they guard them from accidental curb damages.
