OVERVIEW
The Goodyear Marathon LHS is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. The model is meant to be mounted on the steer and all axle positions of the vehicle.
The tire offers great control and durability. The flat footprint of the ribbed tread design closely follows the road surface at all times, which boosts the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering is faster and more accurate in its responsiveness to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The reinforced steel belt construction enhances the load and driving durability by maintaining the tire's optimal shape under the driving and load pressure. The tire's shape does not deform under the pressure affecting the model, which allows it to carry and withstand heavier loads with ease.
The model's tread design and all season tire compound improve the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping capability. The tread elements firmly grip the road surface throughout the year and the tire's flat footprint enables it to closely follow the road surface. The enhanced tire compound upgrades the tire's year round performance by maintaining the tire's flexibility even in colder winter weather. The tread features wide circumferential grooves which effectively resist hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from the footprint and increase the tire's wet weather performing capability.
The Marathon LHS has a lowered rolling resistance. This is achieved with the improved compounds excellent traction, which takes the pressure off the tire. The reduced rolling resistance manages to decrease the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, offering a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly performance. Furthermore, this slows the tread wear rate down significantly. This, along with the tread design's even pressure distribution, ensures a lengthened even tread wear and a longer lasting tread life and usability.
