OVERVIEW
The Firestone Firehawk 900 is a high performance summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tread pattern and tire compound work together to provide exceptional summer weather road gripping ability. The notched tread blocks improve the dry and wet weather traction. The model, however, is not meant to be used in winter as the compound loses its excellent road gripping ability in such conditions. The intermediate slots prevent hydroplaning situations effectively by enhancing the water dispersing ability of the tire. The better summer weather traction and hydroplaning resistance ensure superb driving safety.
The tread pattern maintains constant road contact which boosts the model's handling and cornering ability. The continuous center ribs are in contact with the road surface constantly which boosts the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The steering becomes more precise and quicker in its response to the driver's commands, while the maintained road contact stabilizes the tire against the driving pressure. The shoulder tread blocks and the varying tread elements promote additional biting edges during cornering and maneuvering. This upgrades the cornering ability and power, ensuring a safer driving experience.
The variable pitch tread design offers a comfortable and quiet driving experience. The variable elements of the tread pattern prevent the road noise from generating while the tires are in motion. They create a sound frequency that cancels the road noise out during the drive. The negation of the road noise prevents it from reaching the vehicle's cabin and greatly enhances the enjoyment of the drive.
The shoulder tread block design of the Firehawk 900 extends the tire's usability and tread life. The large tread blocks equally distribute the driving pressure along the tread area, which prevents irregular tread wear patterns from forming across the tread surface. The prevention of uneven wear allows the tire to be used for a longer period of time, which makes it very cost efficient.
