OVERVIEW
The Eldorado Tourmax GFT is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. Eldorado offers a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with the T speed rated sizes and the 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with the H and V speed rated sizes of this tire model.
The tire promotes great all season traction. This is achieved with the optimized tread design and the all season tire compound that work together to boost the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The optimized tread pattern enhances the road gripping ability in such conditions, while the compound keeps its flexibility even in colder temperatures. The wide circumferential and smaller lateral grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The enhanced hydroplaning and all weather traction increase the year round driving safety.
The constant road contact manages to improve the tire's controllability. The tread design's notched center rib with the siping detail maintains its road contact at all times. It improves the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering is faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it. The shoulder tread blocks also firmly grip the road surface. They increase the number of biting edges that grip the road surface and improve the cornering ability and power. The better control that the driver has over the vehicle promotes a secure drive.
The Tourmax GFT is very fuel efficient. The lowered tire compound and better road contact decrease the rolling resistance, which is the force that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to maintain the tire's motion. The reduced rolling resistance decreases the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, making the model environmentally friendly. This also slows the tread wear rate down.
