OVERVIEW
The Dunlop Signature II is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Dunlop offers a 65,000 mile treadwear warranty with this tire model.
The special all weather compound and symmetric tread design ensure excellent all weather traction by enhancing the tire's road gripping ability in wet, dry and winter weather. The tread design's circumferential and lateral grooves and specially designed Evaqua Grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire footprint. The better road gripping ability and hydroplaning resistance improves the year round performing safety.
The Versaload technology upgrades the tire's handling, tread life and comfort levels. It increases the optimal tire shape with the reinforced internal structure that features twin steel belts.
The steering responsiveness and driving stability are improved by the maintained road contact of the internal structure and the symmetric tread pattern that promotes excellent year round traction. The steering becomes quicker and more precise in response to the driver's commands, which ensures great controllability. The tire is also stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it, which offers straight line handling. The combination ensures effortless handling to the tire.
The comfort levels are also increased with the internal structure. The Dimensionally Stable Polyester or DSP is a polyester ply material that went through a unique manufacturing process. It is located on top of the twin steel belts and it allows the tire to closely follow the road surface. As the tire shape does not deform under the driving pressure, the DSP decreases the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin, making the driving experience more comfortable and enjoyable.
The internal structure's twin steel belts and the optimized tread wear pattern extend the tread life and tire usability. They evenly spread the driving pressure out across the tread area. This equal distribution of the forces of acceleration, braking and cornering prevents uneven tread wear patterns from forming along the tire's tread surface. The result is a longer lasting even tread life, which increases the tire's usability, making it more cost efficient.
The Signature II also offers excellent control and power during cornering and maneuvering situations. The symmetric tread design's independent tread blocks enhance the cornering ability and power by providing additional biting edges in all weather conditions.
