OVERVIEW
The Dunlop Grandtrek Touring A/S is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
This model offers a quiet and comfortable driving experience. The Multi-Pitch Technology created a computer optimized tread pattern, which cancels out the road noise with its different sized tread blocks. The different sized tread blocks negate the road noise as certain sound frequencies can cancel it out. The comfort levels of the tire were enhanced with the Jointless Band Technology and with the Versaload Technology. The Jointless Band Technology prevents the tire from deforming under the driving pressure, while the Versaload technology increases the tire's footprint for a better traction. The combination of the optimal tire shape and enlarged road contact area of the tire lowers the road vibrations felt in the cabin of the vehicle.
The superb all weather traction is the result of the silica-enriched tire compound. This compound increases the tire's road gripping ability in dry, wet and winter weather. The tire is rated M+S for its excellent mud and snow traction, in other words, its all season performing capability. The tread grooves also help resist hydroplaning by channeling water away from the tire's footprint for a safer drive. The traction of the model is further enhanced with its larger road contact area, provided by the Versaload Technology, with creates a larger contact area for additional traction.
The high silica based tread compound also offers a more cost efficient tire. The better traction lowers the tire's rolling resistance, which, in turn, reduces the fuel usage and CO2 emissions of the vehicle. The lowered rolling resistance also helps in slowing the tread wear rate. The elongated tread life means the tire is usable for a longer period of time. This makes the tire both environmentally friendly and economic.
The Versaload Technology used in the manufacture of the Grandtrek Touring A/S combines different elements to completely increase the tire's worth. Besides lengthening the tread life, improving the traction and offering a comfortable drive with the larger tire footprint, this technology helps enhance the tire's handling as well.
