OVERVIEW

The Dunlop Grandtrek SJ6 is a highway and touring, winter tire manufactured for SUVs and passenger vehicles.

The special tread pattern's winter weather road gripping ability is due to the twin snow-packing pillars created by the zigzag grooves. They pack the snow into the grooves which boosts the snow on snow road grip, enabling the tire to perform better in winter conditions. The circumferential grooves increase the cold temperature wet traction by eliminating water and slush from below the tire footprint, effectively preventing dangerous hydroplaning. The ice traction is also enhanced thanks to the glass-fiber reinforced tire compound, increasing the winter weather safety levels.

The special optimized groove distribution and the tread design maintain constant road contact. It closely follows the road surface, which ensures an even distribution of the driving pressure. The better spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking ensure a longer lasting tread life as it prevents irregular tread wear forming across the tread area.
