The Continental PremiumContact 6 SSR is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for SUVs and passenger vehicles.
This tire is a run flat model, promoting a limited, temporary performance in case of air pressure loss caused by damage. The reinforced sidewalls are able to support the tire and allow it to perform at 50 mph for 50 miles after air leaves the tire, preventing the vehicle from being stranded. It enables the driver to safely take the vehicle to the nearest location and change the tire. The run flat models and regular tires should not be mounted together on the same vehicle due to their differences in construction.
The model utilizes its asymmetric tread elements to provide a high number of biting edges to the driving surface. This boosts the overall controllability and driving stability of the vehicle.
