OVERVIEW
The Bridgestone Potenza RE050A is a high performance, summer tire built for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The tire has great wet and dry weather traction and road grip. The asymmetric tread pattern is specially designed to enhance the tire's summer traction and offers superb handling on wet and dry roads. The special 3D block and the circumferential grooves in the tread design help eliminate water from the tire's footprint and efficiently resist hydroplaning situations. While the tire has exceptional dry and wet grip, it will not perform well in winter weather.
The L.L. Carbon, the use of a long length carbon structure, helps enhance the tread wear by preventing irregular wear, and it also helps resist cracking, chipping and tearing. Its reinforces steel belt construction improves the tire's durability and helps avoid punctures. The driving force is also equally distributed along the tire's tread surface. This takes the pressure off the tire, elongating its tread life.
The tire is extremely responsive and offers precise steering. This is due to the large stiff outside shoulder blocks, that keep constant contact with the road surface for enhanced control. The steering responsiveness is also influenced and strengthened by the continuous center rib in the tread pattern. This center rib also has a number of other functions it fulfills.
Firstly, it boosts dry and wet traction during the process of acceleration. It also increases directional stability, enabling the tire to perform at its highest capability. Its high speed stability is also strengthened by the spiral wrap structure, which maintains the tire's optimal shape under any circumstances, while the O-Bead construction provides uniformity and ride comfort.
