OVERVIEW
The Bridgestone Dueler H/L 400 RFT is an all season touring run flat tire manufactured for SUV and crossover vehicles.
This tire is a run flat model. That means that, in the case of air pressure loss, the tire's reinforced structure will temporarily support the weight of the vehicle and the passengers. The tire can function for 50 miles at the limited speed of 50 mph, allowing the driver to arrive at a safe destination where the tire can be repaired or changed without getting stranded at the side of the road. Run flat tires are made for vehicles that do not have space for a spare tire. They are heavier than regular tires and because of this they cannot be mixed with regular tires.
The model has great all weather traction and grips the road well in dry, wet and light winter weather conditions. The this is made possible by the excellent compound and tread design that improve its traction. The tire's wide circumferential grooves eliminate water from under the footprint of the tire, boosting its hydroplaning resistance and wet traction. The tire is safer to use all year-round because of the excellent road grip it has.
The tire's rolling resistance was reduced with the enlarged road-to-tire contact area. The lowered rolling resistance results in a decrease of the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, making the tire more environmentally conscious. The tire's tread life also lasts longer thanks to the lessened rolling resistance, as it slows the tread wear rate down. The special L.L. (Long Link) Carbon used in the manufacture of the model makes the tire resistant to damages, such as cracking, chipping and tearing, which makes the tire more cost efficient.
The model's excellent performance is the result of the CO-CS, or Computer Optimized Component System, gives an optimal design, material and construction to the tire. This enhances its performance, improves its steering precision and provides good road feedback.
The O-Bead structure of the Dueler H/L 400 RFT enhances the comfort and drive quality of the tire. The one continuous cable in the bead's construction offers better comfort during the drive, making the experience more enjoyable.
