OVERVIEW
The Accelera Iota is a performance all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
This tire was manufactured with a dual, asymmetric tread pattern where each side of the tread has a specific function. The inner tread area promotes superb wet and winter weather traction, while the outer area boosts the dry weather performance. As a result, the tire promotes excellent all weather traction. The center circumferential rib of the tire boosts the tire's driving stability, which also increases the control and road feel in these situations.
The wet side of the tread pattern, with multiple lateral grooves from the center rib to the shoulder, enhances the tire's water evacuation rate to prevent hydroplaning and improve wet traction and handling. The dry side of the tread pattern features continuous S-shaped lateral grooves with larger tread blocks that offer outstanding road grip on dry surfaces, enhancing the model's dry cornering and braking abilities.
This model was constructed with a contemporary tire compound that reduces the overall weight and improves its durability. Due to the reduced weight, the Iota's rolling resistance was lessened, which in turn lowers the tire's fuel consumption, making it more economic.
The new tread compound is resistant to wear and accidental mechanical damages. The tread also prevents irregular wear throughout the pattern, due to the equally distributed driving force. The even wear on the tire allows a smooth on-road driving experience. This, along with the reduced fuel usage, makes this model very economical.
