OVERVIEW

The Yokohama AVID ENVigor is a performance and high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Yokohama offers a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with the H and V speed rated sizes and a 45,000 mile treadwear warranty with the W speed rated sizes of this tire model.

This tire has excellent all weather traction and it grips the road well in wet, dry and winter weather conditions thanks to the 3D sipes in the tread and the high silica tire compound. The 3D sipes and the angled grooves in the tread help increase the wet and winter grip of the tire. The angled grooves help resist hydroplaning by eliminating water from beneath the footprint. The tire provides year-round safety.

The tire offers a longer tread life thanks to the optimized road contact patch and the groove-in-groove tread design. The optimized road contact patch regulates the wear of the tread as it distributes the driving force equally across the tread area. The even distribution prevents irregular wear on the tire and extends the tread life. The groove-in-groove tread design makes sure that, even as the tire wears out, it maintains its excellent traction. These two aspects allow the longer use of the model.

The tire was manufactured with an advanced silica compound, which reduces the rolling resistance of the tire with its excellent all weather grip. The lower rolling resistance in turn decreases the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of the vehicle. The tire becomes more cost efficient and economical this way.

The model is also easy to control and handle. The uni-block shoulder and tapered center rib maintain road contact and increase the steering responsiveness and accuracy of the tire. The better responsiveness allows the driver to confidently control the vehicle in the changing weather conditions, as the tire will respond to their instructions swiftly and precisely. The improved steering responsiveness offers enhanced safety all year.

The AVID ENVigor was manufactured with a 6-degree pitch tread design. This design reduces the road noise heard in the cabin of the vehicle while the tires are in transit and it helps improve the comfort levels of the drive.
