WindPower WDW82
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Winter weather traction
- Fuel-efficient performance
- Better damage resistance
OVERVIEW
The WindPower WDW82 is a highway terrain, winter tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model was designed for drive axles.
The tire offers great winter weather traction. The durable winter compound and the detailed tread design work together in order to increase its dry, wet, and winter weather performance. Stronger rubber materials keep the tire pliable in harsh winter conditions. The sipes and the block placement generate biting edges, enabling the tire's performance on ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. The zigzag groove pattern avoids hydroplaning in wet conditions. They disperse water and slush from the footprint, offering a safer driving experience.
The symmetric tread design and the winter traction also work together in order to ease the driving pressure off the tire. In this manner, the tire is able to effectively ease the driving pressure off the footprint, lowering its rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure that determines the vehicle's fuel consumption necessary to maintain motion. Decreasing the rolling resistance minimizes the vehicle's fuel intake and CO3 emissions, providing a fuel-conscious driving experience.
The WindPower WDW82 promotes better damage resistance. The self-cleaning nature of the tread helps to combat stone retention. The zigzag grooves eject rocks stuck between the tread elements, preventing them from drilling into the tread area. This combination enables the tire's safer performance.
