OVERVIEW

The Westlake CR989 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's steer axle.

The model offers a secure all weather traction. The detailed symmetric tread design and all season tire compound improve the dry, wet and winter weather traction. The symmetric pattern's siping detail upgrades the grip throughout the year with extra biting edges, while the compound keeps the rubber flexibility in various temperatures. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from below the tire's footprint and maintain the ideal road contact. In this manner, the tire upgrades the year round driving safety.

The tire's maintained road contact upgrades the steering responsiveness. The symmetric ribbed tread closely follows the road surface at all times. This increases the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The result is faster and more precise steering response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. This greatly increase the model's controllability and enables the driver to confidently maneuver the vehicle throughout the year.

The CR989 elongates its usability. The decoupling groove pattern helps decrease the pressure affecting the model's during its performance. This allows the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out force of acceleration, cornering and braking avoids irregular tread wear formations on the tire's surface. This enables the tire to extend its usability and tread life.

There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.

The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
