OVERVIEW
The Westlake CR918 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for commercial vehicles. The model is designed for the trailer axle positions.
The model features a five-rib design. The ribs offer a large road-to-rubber ratio delivering superior dry traction. Zigzag grooves and sipes provide biting edges for enhanced winter grip. Four wide circumferential grooves drain water and slush from underneath the tire. This improves wet and snow traction and minimizes the chance of hydroplaning. The all season compound keeps the rubber flexible throughout the seasons, boosting the year-round performance.
The solid continuous ribs with their increased rubber-to-road ratio provide a larger contact area for consistent traction. This upgrades controllability and improves steering response and accuracy to the driver’s commands. The closed shoulder design and their sipes ensure exceptional grip for safer cornering and braking.
The tire is reinforced internally. It helps the model withstand greater loads with ease. The robust construction optimizes pressure distribution along the footprint, preventing its build-up. This is boosted by the ribbed tread design, which also enhances structural stability. As such, the tire can handle and transport cargo without deforming under driving and load pressure. The air pockets help dissipate heat from the shoulders, lessening the stress on them and lowering the chance of blowouts.
The sturdy model keeps its best shape thanks to its stronger construction. This helps the tire resist uneven and accelerated wear. Furthermore, the reinforced casing provides the model with upgraded damage resistance, helping it endure different road hazards. As a result, the model delivers elongated tread life.
The Westlake CR918 sports a ribbed tread design and a stronger interior construction to prevent flexing and maintain its shape. This offers enhanced traction, which reduces rolling resistance, minimizing fuel intake and CO2 emissions, for a fuel-conscious drive.
