OVERVIEW

The Westlake CR915 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's trailer axle. This tire is NOT MEANT TO BE MOUNTED ON LIGHT TRUCKS, as its construction will not support the weight and performing style of such vehicles. It can ONLY BE MOUNTED ON TRAILERS.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The all season tire compound and the symmetric pattern's siping detail work together to enhance the model's grip in dry, wet and winter weather. This allows the tire to upgrade the year round grip on the road surface as the compound keeps its flexibility even in colder temperatures. The tread elements, on the other hand, firmly grip the road surface throughout the year. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning as they channel water and slush away from the tire's footprint, which significantly improves the wet and winter weather driving safety.

The model offers a fuel efficient performance. It manages to combine the heat-resistant tire compound with the symmetric tread's constant road contact. The compound prevents heat build-up on the tread area by keeping the tire cool throughout its performance. The symmetric tread's constant road contact allows the tire's even pressure distribution, which along with the heat build-up resistance ensures a lowered rolling resistance. The decreased rolling resistance in turn reduces the towing vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This allows the tire to perform in a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly manner.

The CR915 guarantees a longer lasting usability. The durable tire compound, not only lowers the heat build-up along the tread, it also effectively slows the tread wear rate down. The shallow tread depth stabilizes the tread elements against the driving pressure affecting them, preventing tread flexing from creating unnecessary friction between the tire and the road surface. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
