OVERVIEW

The Westlake CM983 is a highway, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's drive axle.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The all season compound and the symmetric ribbed tread pattern increase the grip the tire has on dry, wet and winter weather road surfaces. The compound keeps its ideal flexibility against the various conditions affecting it while the detailed siping pattern upgrades the grip the tire has on the road surface. The wide groove pattern boosts the hydroplaning resistance. These grooves disperse water and slush from below the tire's footprint and enhance the wet and winter weather driving safety.

The model upgrades the tread life length significantly. The durable tire compound and the wide and flat footprint work together to extend the tire's usability and tread life. The compound is wear-resistant which decreases the tread wear rate greatly. The model's ideal road contact enables the model to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The evenly spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoids the formation of irregular tread wear across the tread area. This lengthens the tread life and the model's usability and makes the tire more cost efficient.

The CM983 was manufactured with a reinforced internal structure. The stronger casing enables the tire to maintain its ideal shape under the load and driving pressure affecting the model. This allows the tire to enhance the load handling and carrying capability and power. The tire does not deform under the pressure affecting it, which significantly upgrades the load capacity. This results in a secure driving experience.

There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.

The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
