Remolded tires are made by recycling the casing of a worn-out tire by utilizing a special remolding process. During this process, the tire receives a new tread and sidewall area, which is then cured and shaped into a specific pattern and form. REMOLDED tires are not new, as it is a RETREADING technique. However, remolded tires are the closest to new tires among the retreads. REMOLDED tires are approved by the Department of Transportation and they perform as well as new tires do.
