Sumitomo ST788SE
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Longer lasting tread life
- Enhanced controllability
- Damage resistant performance
OVERVIEW
The Sumitomo ST788SE is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's steer axle.
The tire offers great controllability. It combines the symmetric ribbed pattern with the reinforced steel belt construction. This allows the model to improve the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The close and constant road contact of the symmetric pattern enables the tire to enhance the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's instructions. The stronger structure, on the other hand, keeps the ideal tire shape and improves the driving stability against the pressure affecting the model. In this manner, the tire ensures the steering axle's control over the rest of the vehicle as the tires are easily maneuvered.
The model increases the tread life. It utilizes the detailed tread design and the durable tire compound to lengthen the usability. The tread pattern's ribbed pattern features teardrop-shaped decoupling grooves, which prevent tread flexing throughout the tire's performance, and a detailed micro-siping pattern, that ensures even pressure distribution. This allows the tire to enhance the length of the tread life by preventing irregular wear formations across the tread area by ensuring the even distribution of the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking. The durable compound also helps lengthen the service life as its reinforced rubber materials decrease the tread wear rate while the tires are in motion, maximizing the tire's usability.
The ST788SE boosts the model's durability. The tire sports a four steel belt construction, which reinforces the tire against the driving pressure affecting the model. This boosts the damage resistance and the load handling capability. The structure keeps the ideal tire shape under the load and driving pressure affecting the model, which greatly upgrades the load capacity. It also protects the tire's casing against punctures, cuts and impact damage, which can easily shorten the model's lifetime. The tread's self-cleaning nature ejects rocks stuck between the tread elements, actively resisting stone retention from harming the tire's casing by drilling rocks into the tire's casing.
