OVERVIEW
The Sierra Trail M/T is a mud terrain all season tire manufactured for light truck vehicles.
The tire's staggered tread pattern with the tread block sipes, high void ratio and open shoulder grooves enhance the all weather traction. The tread design increases the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability by providing additional biting edges in harsher conditions. The high void ratio prevents hydroplaning situations as the water and slush is dispersed from beneath the tire's footprint. The tire cleans out snow from between the tread elements to maintain a clean footprint at all times, enhancing the road gripping ability and the driving safety.
The staggered tread blocks and the high void ratio also boost the off-road traction. Especially in muddy terrains, the model is capable of finding firm grip on the road surface. The open shoulders and the sidewall design increase the tire's grip on soft and loose terrains upgrading its off-road performance. The tread design's self-cleaning nature eliminates mud and ejects rocks from between the tread elements with the staggered tread blocks and the stone ejecting ribs in the grooves. This improves the off-road traction and preventing stone retention that can harm the tread area.
The deeper tread design improves the length of the tread life and the comfort levels. It, along with the durable tire compound and the tread design, prevents irregular tread wear by evenly distributing the driving pressure across the tread area. The evenly distributed forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoids irregular wear forming on the tread area. The extended tread life and tire usability make the tire more cost efficient. The deeper tread design also lowers the road noise and vibrations in the vehicle's cabin. The road noise is decreased with the staggered and variable tread blocks that prevent it from being generated, while the vibrations are absorbed by the durable tire compound. The result is a comfortable and quiet drive.
The Trail M/T offers a maintained road contact. Both on and off-road, the tire offers excellent controllability. The steering responsiveness and driving stability are enhanced with the road contact. The steering becomes quick and precise to the driver's instructions, while the tire's structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it. The better controllability ensures a safer drive and it allows the tire to perform to its best ability.
The intended purpose of Mud Terrain tire types is off-road use. They are not designed for regular highway driving.
