OVERVIEW
The Samson GL689A is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model was made for all axle positions on the vehicle.
The tire promotes excellent all weather traction. It combines the all season compound and the stabilized tread block pattern, with the Z-shaped sipes, in order to enhance the dry, wet and winter weather surface grip. The tread pattern improves the grip on the road surface, by utilizing additional biting edges to grip the road surface. The stronger compound elements keep their rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures, from the heat of summer to colder winter situations.
The stabilized tread elements allow the tire to improve the controllability as well. The better surface contact enables the tire to improve the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The maintained surface contact allows the tire to upgrade the steering response time and accuracy, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The Z-shaped sipes and the groove pattern manage to generate friction at the moment of braking, greatly shortening the braking distance. This successfully guarantees the driver's constant control over the vehicle during the performance.
The GL689A enhances the tread life length. The stabilized footprint and the durable compound enhance the usability. The footprint allows even pressure distribution across the tread area, while the compound's wear-resistant rubber materials minimize the treadwear rate. This combats irregular and premature wear formations, greatly upgrading the service and tread life. The compound also allows the tire to prevent tread damage, such as the tread's chipping, cracking and tearing, to avoid damage to the casing.
