OVERVIEW

The Samson GL-D1 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This tire was designed for drive axle applications.

Fuel efficiency is the result of the fuel-saving compound and the tread design. This is achieved as the tire manages to lower its rolling resistance. This is the pressure determining the vehicle’s necessary fuel usage in order to maintain motion. By lessening the rolling resistance the tire helps to decrease fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, leading to a fuel-conscious performance.

Great load and driving durability are ensured with the tire’s reinforced internal structure. The robust structural elements enable the tire to effectively upgrade its overall load-handling power. They make sure the tire does not deform under load and driving pressure. Since the tire maintains its ideal shape, it is able to upgrade the tire’s load capacity. This improved load durability is perfectly designed for heavy-duty applications.

This GL-D1 offers a longer-lasting tread life. The ideal tread design features a wide footprint and solid shoulder ribs to effectively provide slow and even wear. Footprint stability maintains surface contact and helps prevent tread flexing. As a result, the tire avoids irregular wear by preventing pressure accumulation along the tread area. This greatly boosts the tire’s overall tread life length.

There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.

The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
