The Saffiro SF5000 is a performance or high performance, depending on the speed rating, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The model offers excellent all weather road grip. The all season tire compound and the asymmetric tread design increase the dry, wet and winter weather traction and promote a safer year round drive. The all season compound keeps its flexibility even in colder temperatures, while the tread elements manage to keep their road grip in all weather. The four wide circumferential grooves and the outer shoulder's open design actively resist hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The maintained road contact and the excellent hydroplaning resistance ensure a secure all weather performance.
The tire is easily controlled. The tread design features a continuous, notched center rib and optimized tread blocks on the tire's outer shoulder area. The center rib keeps the tire close to the road surface, improving the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In this manner, the steering becomes faster and more precise, while the tire's structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting it. The outer shoulder tread blocks enhance the cornering and maneuvering ability by firmly gripping the road surface. The shoulder blocks increase the number of biting edges that firmly grip the surface and guarantee a safer controllability even at high speeds. The tread manages to evenly distribute the high speed driving pressure along the tire's structure. This prevents deformation under the driving pressure, allowing the tire to perform to its best capability in all weather.
The SF5000 provides a quiet drive. The tread design features a closed inner shoulder pattern that prevents the airwaves from entering the tire's footprint and coming into contact with the tread elements. As the airwaves are unable to come into contact with the individual tread elements, the road and tread pattern noise is not generated, which guarantees a comfortable and quiet driving experience.
