OVERVIEW
The Patriot RB-1 is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire offers excellent controllability. The asymmetric tread design's notched center rib keeps the tire's road contact at all times. The better road contact increases the steering responsiveness and driving stability that makes the tire more responsive to the driver's commands. The shoulder tread block placement increases the number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface during cornering and maneuvering. The better road grip improves the cornering ability and power significantly and ensures a safer driving experience.
The model's tread design and all season compound work together to boost the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The asymmetric tread design's notches and siping detail maintain a firm grip on all weather road surfaces, while the compound maintains its flexibility even in colder temperatures. The tread design's wide circumferential grooves actively resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. In this manner, the tire ensures constant road contact for a secure year round performance.
The tire was manufactured with the lighter construction, which lowers its overall weights. The lower weight decreases the tire's rolling resistance, which is the pressure affecting the tire that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to maintain the tire's motion. The decreased rolling resistance, in turn, reduces the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, making the model more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly.
The RB-1 promotes a longer tread life. The lessened rolling resistance slows the tread wear rate down significantly, while the asymmetric tread design manages to evenly distribute the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking along the tread area.
