OVERVIEW
The OTR HP-009 is a mud terrain, all season tire manufactured for ATVs and UTVs.
The model offers excellent off-road performance. The tread design features a directional lug placement, with larger lug depths, and a high void ratio. The lug pattern extends to the tire's sidewall to improve the soft and loose terrain gripping capability. The deep lugs manage to propel the tire forward in mud and on loose soil, as the sidewall lugs provide additional sideways biting edges to grip the terrain surface. The high void ratio keeps the footprint clean by dispersing mud from between the tread elements to further increase the tire's off-road performing capability.
The tire's constant terrain gripping capability enhances its controllability. The directional tread design and the high void ratio improve the steering responsiveness and driving stability. They enable the tire's road contact at all times, which stabilizes the structure during the drive, while also boosting the steering response time and accuracy. The constantly clean footprint keeps the tire's terrain contact, which upgrades the driver's control over them. The better controllability enables the driver to confidently control the vehicle on demanding off-road conditions.
The HP-009 is damage resistant. The sidewall lugs guard and protect the tire's sidewalls and rims from off-road damage. The tread's self-cleaning nature prevents stone retention from damaging the tire's casing, by ejecting rocks stuck in the footprint. The stronger compound, optimal tread design and constantly clean footprint enhance the driving safety throughout the tire's lifetime.
