OVERVIEW

The Ohtsu FP8000 is a high performance summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire offers excellent summer weather traction. The summer weather compound and the directional tread design work together to increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The directional tread design features a solid center rib and circumferential and lateral grooves that manage to find firm grip on such surface conditions. The wide circumferential and curved lateral grooves also prevent hydroplaning by actively dispersing water from beneath the tire's footprint. The tire, however, is not suited for winter weather conditions as the tread design and compound are unable to maintain the traction on ice and snow-covered road surfaces.

The tread design improves the tire's high speed controllability. The solid center rib and the durable internal structure enable the model to keep a constant road contact. The better road contact increases the steering responsiveness and driving stability and lowers the wheelspin during heavy acceleration. The stronger internal structure features a high-tension tire carcass that maintains the optimal tire shape under the high speed driving pressure. The optimized shape ensures a secure performance all year. The large shoulder tread blocks increase the number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface. The better road grip improves the cornering and maneuvering ability and power and guarantees a safer performance.

The FP8000 ensures a quiet drive. The tread design's special phase-shifted lateral grooves channel the airwaves from the tire's footprint without letting them come into contact with the tread elements. As the airwaves do not touch the tread element, the road and tread pattern noise are not generated while the tires are in motion. The result is a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
